ICYMI: we have a new online home.
Why I have been MIA (again!) and why I don't want to build another website for a long timeeee.

My last post on Substack was in the summer and somehow it is already basically winter. How?!
I had all the intentions (as always) of writing more but alas I grossly underestimated the amount of work (including writing copy!) involved in creating a website (after all it has been about 10 years since I developed my old blog site).
Now, before you oooo arghhhh at my magical website-building skills…I had HELP, lots of it, thanks to the formidable Nina at Butter Digital. She is indeed a whiz, kept me sane, and answered no less than 100000000 questions and made a similar number of revisions (as I am after all a ‘small details’ gal).
So without further delay: you can now find me here for all things therapy, food and eating, speaking/presenting, and for pictures of Stanley cat (obviously). Also, for further information about me as a professional, and a person (for all the nosy people like me!), and how I can work with you / your team/ people you know.
And if you’re reading this and you’re not in the UK (I can see this is quite a few of you), well never fear. I am working primarily online at the moment, so can work 1:1 with folks and/or with teams globally.
So do share with your friends and/or colleagues (though proceed with a little caution, they may think you are hinting a need for them to do therapy! Maybe they do? Ha) and I’d love any feedback on the site if you do go over and visit.
Importantly, this substack Behind The Fringe is going nowhere, in fact it’s now embedded into the new website.
I am still trying to find my feet with BTF, partly due to a very distractable brain and an never-ending to-do list, recently. It will, however, continue to be the place for musings about life, culture, neurodivergence, social justice and beyond, as well as the space for all the special interests (book chat, fashion and the like). Everything that I love that is not strictly ‘therapy’ or ‘nutrition’ (though occasionally those themes might infiltrate).
However…like any social platform or newsletter, the most important thing to me is always dialogue and building connection and community. So, I would thus like to hear from you? What would YOU would like to see on Behind The Fringe?
For example:
Do you like written content? Or video? or audio?
What do you love about the Substacks that you regularly read or pay for?
What topics most interest you?
Are you a book person? Or are TV and movies more your jam?
Do you like interviews or essays?
Or maybe you love a recommendations list?
Let me know what most interests you? I’ve popped a short poll below.
Or feel free to let me know any specifics in the comments (I am trying to enable direct messaging for future posts too).
Have a great weekend, Camilla x
